MarkBook Store policy

Privacy

How MarkBook Store handles purchaser, manager, licensed-user, fulfillment, and support information.

Who this covers

The Acadiem Group operates MarkBook Store. The store processes commerce and licensing information; it is not intended to receive classroom grades or student records.

  • Purchasers and billing contacts
  • Licensed teachers and team managers
  • Board or district quote contacts
  • Support and administrative users

Information we collect

We collect the information needed to quote, sell, provision, support, and renew MarkBook products.

  • Names, email addresses, organization, role, and contact details
  • Order, tax, subscription, refund, and Stripe identifiers; the store does not store full card numbers
  • Seat invitations, claims, account-setup state, and Windows download authorization events
  • Security and operational metadata such as truncated or hashed request identifiers and audit events
  • Marketing consent separately from transactional communications

How information is used

Information is used to complete purchases, provision licenses, prevent duplicate seats and abuse, send transactional messages, administer subscriptions, answer support requests, reconcile system state, and meet legal obligations. Marketing messages require separate consent and can be unsubscribed from without affecting transactional email.

Service providers

The store uses service providers only for defined operational purposes.

  • Stripe for Checkout, Tax, subscriptions, invoices, refunds, and Billing Portal
  • Resend for transactional email transport and delivery events
  • Vercel and the configured database platform for application hosting
  • Azure Storage for private Windows release files
  • MarkBook application services for Online account provisioning and renewal

Retention and protection

Access tokens are stored as hashes. Customer and token pages are not cached, and sensitive URLs are excluded from analytics. Retention periods for orders, tax records, security logs, abandoned checkouts, email content, and support records must be approved and documented before production.

Your choices and rights

Contact support to request access, correction, deletion where legally available, or information about processing. Some commerce and tax records must be retained. Team managers should invite only people they are authorized to license.
